First Round Pick is a new player in the world of high stakes fantasy sports betting. They needed an identity that clicked with their executive-level, high-dollar earning clientele.
The finished product is a masculine, sport-inspired mark that still retains a very high-end feel.

Established in 1997, the original HotWax Media typeface and styling were beginning to look a little stale. When I came on board, we began working on a refresh.
Working with the rest of the talented crew at the firm, we took the original wax mark, added a custom font face, and then mixed in some subtle texture, glossing and shadows to really give it some dimension.
The new logo still retains the essense of the orginal, but now with a lot more hotness.

Argenta Group LLC is a a unique private equity firm specializing in the creation and funding of Public-Private Partnerships. The brand new company needed an identity that struck a unique balance between conservative and innovative.
The finished mark is a simple take on the groups initials that at once reminds me of both an infinity symbol and a pair of brass knuckles. Combine that with a very classic looking type face and I think that just about describes this firm's unique approach to public and government construction projects funding to a tee.
Bleedout
Scope: Identity Design, Apparel Design, Collateral
This new apparel and lifestyle brand, currently taking the Salt Lake City MMA scene by storm, provides fight gear, accessories and apparel to fighters and fans of Mixed Martial Arts. The term "Bleed Out" means a Technical Knockout (TKO) that occurs when the ref calls the fight because a fighter is bleeding so badly that the bout cannot continue any longer. Now that is a serious ass kicking.

ClearCut Hosting Solutions is a new company that provides shared web hosting, managed server, and custom storage solutions for small and medium sized businesses. They needed a logo that was straight-forward, uncomplicated and approachable; everything that server solutions, for a small business owner, most of the time is not.
I used a classic serif font face with a simple slash to tell the story. Simple, straight-forward, and to the point; exactly what this game changing company embodies

Erda Acres Water Company

The small town of Erda, UT has a rich pioneer heritage, with deep roots in herding and farming. This non-profit, community owned public works company, which supplies all of the water for the township, plays a central role in the future growth of the community as a whole.
As the community has grown and aquired many new residents in recent years, and the company recognized the need to expand its services and infrastructure, as well increase its communication and visibility. A strong visual mark, which the company has never had until now, will play an important part in increasing awareness and visibility in the community.
The mark consists of a stylized drop of water, and two stylized blades of grass, a nod to the sweeping fields of wheat, alfalfa, and prairie grass that helped to establish this community over 150 years ago.

Popcorn Media writes, directs, and produces entertainment and education focused, family-oriented films and media. They needed a logo system that represented and unified their family of product and service offerings.
The solution was to create a parent identity for the media company, and introduce individual elements to the mark that identified each product and service offering division of the company.
The result is a series of logos, each unique and individual in their own right, when put together clearly represent the depth and breadth of service offerings the company has, in one unified voice.
